This year, we had the honor of being asked to be a part of the Design Gallery at AFR’s Showcase & Networking Tour. Their directive was to use the furniture in a unique and creative way; to use our imaginations and create a new way to use their furniture. The event was absolutely beautiful and all involved were creative with their space. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the entries.
Showorks was the people’s choice and their inspiration was hobo chic.
“Weaving inspiration from Church Street Station and its history, the rise of steampunk design, the revival of Southern inspired décor, and most importantly from the furniture itself, the aesthetic was thought through piece by piece to create a setting fit for a sophisticated vagabond.”
Greenery Productions had a Moroccan-inspired colorful showcase with an abundance of flowers complete with spires and a backdrop of lanterns.
Kirby Rentals titled their section “The Victorian Discovery of the Botanical Gardens of Africa.” Inspired by the Golden Age of Discovery, this design reminded each guest of the perilous and daunting means Explorers of yore endured to bring exotic and unusual specimens to the world.
Exhilarate Events took a different spin on this challenge. Inspired by the juxtaposition of rustic wood and white patent leather, we designed a space that is both glamorous and camping chic. Our design tells the story of a group of wealthy ladies that need a break from the fast-paced life of the big city. They decide to escape to nature by having a “Girls’ Getaway” in the great outdoors, but these divas have their own definition of camping…GLAMPING!
Although we did not win the challenge, we are proud of the fact that attendees wanted to hang out in the space and interact with the theme and furniture.
